EMFACE Reaches 1,000 Treatments

KUDO Dermatology announced on the 30th that it has performed a cumulative 1,000 treatments using EMFACE, a non-invasive anti-aging device.

According to the clinic, this milestone follows its recognition as one of the “2025 Top 10 EMFACE Clinics” selected by BTL, a global medical aesthetics company. The treatment count is based on data provided by the clinic.

In recent years, aesthetic medicine has increasingly focused not only on the skin’s surface, but also on facial structure and muscle movement. As more patients seek balanced, natural-looking results rather than dramatic changes, treatment approaches using non-invasive technologies have continued to evolve.

EMFACE is a non-invasive device that combines radiofrequency (RF) and HIFES™ technologies. It delivers energy to both the skin and facial muscles, with treatment suitability and planning determined by factors such as skin condition, muscle structure, and fat distribution.

Since introducing the device, KUDO Dermatology has developed an individualized treatment approach based on cases across a wide range of age groups, from patients in their 20s to those in their 60s. The clinic takes into account that even patients of the same age may require different approaches depending on skin thickness, fat distribution, and muscle condition.

Dr. Youngjun Oh, Medical Director of KUDO Dermatology, said, “Our accumulated cases show that even among patients of the same age, patterns of aging can vary depending on muscle density and fat distribution. Rather than determining a treatment plan based on age alone, it is important to consider each patient’s facial structure and lifestyle characteristics.”
